After a long morning visiting Taos Pueblo https://taospueblo.com/visiting-taos-pueblo/we were ready for lunch. We were hungry! So we decided on Orlando’s New Mexican Cafe, knowing this would be the hardy meal to satisfy. You’ll find the cafe on the main highway, Paseo del Pueblo Norte in Taos. This is the highway that cuts through town. Turn right on Paseo del Pueblo Norte and, after a short ride , you will see Orlando’s Cafe on the left. It’s a small, better said cozy, restaurant. The kitchen kitchen serves up big plates with all the New Mexican favorites. https://www.facebook.com/OrlandosNewMexicanCafe/
The great thing is that Orlando’s Cafe is only made better by everything you are surrounded with. You’ll find dried red chile ristras hanging from the ceiling, cut tin lamps and brightly painted walls and furniture. All the staff are super friendly and efficient. If they seem a little rushed it’s because the place is hopping! In all, having lunch at Orlando’s New Mexican Cafe was a good choice for winding up the day. I’d go back again if visiting Taos. ….But I am still debating about that avocado pie on their dessert menu!
Don’t miss Taos Pueblo if you are vising Taos. I have been there twice and would go again if I have visitors. You can see the photographs and read about my visit here: https://roadtosuchness.comtaos-pueblo/
