There is more than one reason to love the Pelican Grand. The first time we had brunch there we sat on the veranda, enjoyed the breeze and the view of the ocean. There was a low key, soothing feeling about it all. The hotel sits between two extremes of a very busy Ft. Lauderdale. It is close enough to any activity and far enough away from all the hyper activities. And, unlike many of the hotels in Ft. Lauderdale, the beach at the Pelican Grand is directly in front of the hotel. You do not have to cross the boulevard. So, sink into a chair and imagine yourself, for awhile, on a secluded island.Â
Reasons to Stay at the Pelican Grand
 1. The pool is out of view. It faces the ocean but only you know that when you are in it.
 2. They have the Lazy River Tubing Ride which surrounds the pool.  (If you are not a guest    of the hotel you can sign on for a day at the pool for a fee.)
 3. Take a dip in the ocean and then relax in their blue chairs, and umbrellas by the water. Hotel towels are available.  Order and eat your lunch as you relax ocean side
 4. Enjoy the ocean views when you visit the spa.
 5. Visit the lovely long veranda for Ocean-side dining.
